Hi Eqz & All,
Just keeping an eye on what comes out of Nephrology Spring Meetings in the USA. As we discussed earlier, A virtual meeting due to COVID-19.

So some are for ESKD & specialised treatments for indications arising from that. The presentation of interest to us, is KidneyIntelX AI based test & Payer Evidence in reducing cost for rapidly developing ESKD.

The poster presentation is not yet available, but here is the abstract above.
I think what is important to remember here is that a) the data we have been analysing belongs to Janssen, although PIQ will have that benefit of validation. b) The above test is far more limited in any predictive capability reliant on multiple sources, AI, including patient records, instead of proprietary biomarkers, ours are patent protecte & from memory KidneyIntelX are using TNF (tumour necrosis factor) c) The cost of the test & limitations. KidneyIntelX ~ US$1000 to predict rapid decline in stage 1-3b; in comparison to PromarkerD predictive 4 years prior to Stage 1 & a payer cost of ~ US$50 which will be far more accessible across a population so broad & with ongoing testing to those deemed in the high risk category, even if they need screening every 3 months.
Appreciate your thoughts all. I still think that we are awaiting news on Janssen. They were awarded on Invokana research from the National Kidney Foundation & I’m truly hoping PromarkerD will also be recognised soon. Our collaboration will be tied up with non-disclosures on research & therefore we have had some more good news on other things in the PIQ pipeline, and really when you are looking at chronically unmet needs (Endometriosis) and chronic global endemic infections (Giardiasis), it’s value adding to our pipeline to be moving forward in these tests in the interim. Just my thoughts.
