Hole 148 Reveals Exceptional Grades
Conquest Mining Limited (ASX code : CQT) is pleased to announce that it has received the
final assays for the last diamond hole completed in the 2006 drilling program at the Silver
Hill Deposit.
Hole HC06RCD148 was drilled to twin percussion hole HC06RC116 which ended in
mineralisation (88-119m, 31m at 3.79 g/t gold, 5.8 g/t silver, 0.05% copper). These holes
are located 50m east of hole 74, and 75m east of holes 124 and 125. All of these holes
intersected high grade gold mineralisation, and this final result both confirms the grade and
adds to confidence in the geological resource. Most notably, the diamond hole has
extended the zone from 119m to 144m depth.
Deeper mineralisation was also intersected in hole HC06RCD132 and included 6m at 3.79
g/t gold from 217m depth. Combined with high silver and moderate copper values this has a
gold equivalent of 5.5 grams. This hole is located about 100m north east of V2 Hill, and
confirms good mineralisation below the relatively shallow RC holes 121 and 122.
HIGHLIGHTS
Diamond Holes
HC06RCD148 80.2-144.0m 63.8m @ 6.04g/t gold, including 6.1m @ 30.2
g/t gold, and also 1m @ 101 g/t gold and 155
g/t silver, and 1m @ 120 g/t gold and 21.8 g/t
silver.
HC06RCD132 217.0-223.0m 6.0m @ 3.79g/t gold, 51g/t silver, and 0.36%
copper
Holes 132 and 148 are significant additions to the resource.
Final 1 metre assays are still awaited for a number of the RC holes, which have previous
reported 4m results in the Company’s announcement dated 29 January 2007.
