yes agree, it is the huge run-up in AUT which makes it attractive for the many investors sitting on huge profits to liquidate their position.
I do not understand the violence the markets have reacted with. This is not the end of Japan. It has affected one province on the coast. This is not the end of the world economy. This will not affect USA's GDP, nor the looming energy crisis.
However one might as well say the sky is blue!
