steph and cjames thanks for your comments,i'm a bit too old for the backpackers and am looking for mid range accomodation on the quite side with a nice beach,a place to prop for a week or two,read a book or two. cjames i'd appreciate any info re beaches and maybe a good place to stay in tivandrum on the way through. thanks again c
