Has anyone had to deal with break up fees for changing from fixed
to variable before end of term?
One story given me was
*a break up penalty fee of over $30K
and another only around
*$700 and change as many times as wanted over the life of the loan
I suspect the difference between $30K and $700 might be in that
the $700 may apply to change from fixed to variable at end of fixed term
against huge penalty of $30K if change occurred before end of fixed term???
Have not been able to verify and clarify details with origins of either version.
Any input especially if first hand personal experience or such as with
close friend or family member will be greatly appreciated.
