It's a BIG nod of the head from me Club_sharer.
There's a school of thought that's worth considering with regards to the 'gap' between the wealthy and the poor;
The larger the 'gap' the longer the time it takes for the economy in question to recover from any serious downturn (recesssion/depression).
By doing the 'politically popular' thing and stimulating the economy at the time, the Government have simply prolonged the inevitable in my opinion.
