Although you may be right that the housing market will fall short term...I think the situation here in Australia is light years away from the situation in USA. There they have a surplus of homes and no one that will finance buyers. Here we have a shortage and banks that still lend for real estate. Soon we will see rents rising again and we desperately need more house starts to reduce the tightness in our market. That mix does not imply a big fall in the market here in my opinion.
