GDelaney...a very good and interesting post....thumbs up from as well.
If T/Overs says Regent still in play then Only real result / outcome will be for Regent to proceed with bid and hope that:
* Independent experts reports comes back negative.
But with S/Price at say current $2.50 makes $3.30 look
good. I don't know how the Hong Kong investors will see
it. I think Regent will have problems with financial
institutions to raise the required funds.
* Shareholders/Co reject deal. Tough call, depends on
what and if all is disclosed in Indep" expert report.
* ConsM rejects deal. Who knows what they will do but
till now they have done everything right and kept tight
lipped of their intentions.
* Someone else makes another bid. Most unlikely anyone
would make an offer at over $3.30 at this stage with
current low s/price and no Indep" experts report.
If T/overs says Agreement not covered or Regent can walk
away ( Which IMO I think both issues will be the case
here )I Think ConsM and possibly BCI will persue further
legal actions / appeals which will tie up Regent for a
very long time to come and tie up / Dry up their funds
which will leave Regent no other alternative but to make
a commercial decision to buy their way out of this messs.
ConsM will make them sweat it out and make the art of
payback something sweet and set a precedent for others
not to try and pull the same stunt upon them to force a
bid out from them.
At this stage I would say that Regent if they had any
sense will if they can approach the Co and sell back all
their recently acquired shares back to the Co for say
$1.80 each in the spirit of compromise / costs and end
this mess they created for themselves. They can then off
load their remaining holdings to whoever if they want or
still remain a substantial s/holder but with a lower
percentage holdings.
We the lttle shareholders and the Co get back all those
millions of shares and the Co moves on forward to
hopefully bigger and better things.
Interesting times ahead this week I hope !!!
