It is pretty well guaranteed that the IE will conclude that the offer is fair & reasonable and in the best interests of BC Iron shareholders.
That is not the issue here. The MAIN issue is whether Regent Pacific WANTS to go through with the bid, and if they don't (which currently seems to be the case) whether they CAN BE FORCED to go through with the deal by the Takeovers Panel.
The secondary issue is whether Consolidated Minerals votes in favour of the deal.
EVERY OTHER ISSUE RANKS A LONG WAY DOWN THE LIST IN TERMS OF SIGNIFICANCE.
And in terms of the share price being constrained so as to make it hard for REgent Pacific to get finance. . . . .I just don't know what logic you are trying to pull together there. The two concepts are NOT CORRELATED.
