Maybe it was only you that thought incomes didn't go up, I certainly didn't say it didn't. And yes there is a possibility that your income may stagnate, it may even fallen significant if you have a job and end up losing it for one reason or another. It certainly doesn't always continue on a straight line up or down. I'm certainly of the opinion it's growth fluctuates with economic cycles..and so do asset prices..
