mmmmm
watso used to brew his own beer - and the reason was simple - he liked the taste of beer, and he liked to drink it by the bucketful, but he also preferred it to be low alcohol - and the homebrew had a great flavour. a batch of homebrew would only cost the $10 for the malt - plus some sugar. mmmm - that is worth thinking about - an extra kilo of malt - as watso never remotely thought about that.
as far as the alcohol content is concerned - but that is a function of the sugar. watso would brew his beer without the added sugar (thus keeping the alcohol content at a minimum)
forget scrubbing the bottles - simply use bleach to clean the bottles (or stubbies), and drain them in a rack.
frankly - some of the best beer was home brew (just be careful of the bit of sediment at the bottom of the stubby)
