BOM of course deny everything.
Just looking at data - I suddenly realize how easy it is to skew the outcome... simply find a way to say things were cooler 80 or 100 a years ago. And seemingly the magic tool is "homogenization".
Mind you, it is entirely possible that the sole researcher who discovered this flaw in the BOMs data may have got it wrong herself.
