Perhaps your perspective might change if someone you love and respect were to 'come out'.
When my brother told me, it took me a couple of days to process, then I snapped out of it because he was the same person I grew up with, fought with, laughed my arse off with etc. I loved him the same after as I did before.
And funnily enough, one of our closest mates, who was a big homophobe for all our lives, changed his tune when he realised someone close to him was gay. Made him re-evaluate his values.
Each to their own I say. Except, let the kids grow up first before they decide how they want to express themselves sexually.
