Every election is a referendum. We all know that Abbott doesn't want to budge on it probably due to some archaic religious nonsense even though his sibling is a proud lesbian. It all comes down to what your priorities are when you cast your vote. No doubt Bill will use it as an election issue, why not? he's got stuff all else to use.
