Because Brucey the world is evolving and this is part of the evolution. Religion should have zero say in it. Unlike other parts of the world where evolution stopped 1400 years ago! The same "non evolved" may rattle their sabres about gay marriage, yet endorse 13 year old children marrying and falling pregnant to filthy depraved adult men. Abbotts views would be originating from his religious beliefs also. It's time to reject this stupidity when it erodes the freedoms of people, gay included.
