Whats not progressive about giving rights to all of the community and not just the majority? Especially when that same majority group is tainted by people within who contribute very little to society? Every society must be progressive or they perish, even Sunni Islam is seeing that now. You need to let go of that crusty old thought process and embrace change where it makes the world a fairer place. You support the right for bogans to marry and have kids in drug and alcohol infested households, you support the semi educated with zero work ethic to marry and have children destined to go through the same cycle of welfare dependency and no prospects. Why do you think these people deserve marriage rights more than these people? Penny Wong, Ian thorpe, Porta De Rossi, Josh Thomas, Sia Furler, Mathew Mitcham, Tom Ballard, Casey Conway, Margo Fink, Jason Ball, Cate McGregor, Andrea Pejic, Kylie Kwong, Missy Higgins, Troy Sivan, Dr Keryn Phelps, Allen Joice, Louise Pratt, Michael Kirby, Narelda Jacobs, Cory Irlam, David Malouf, Dorothy Porter, Johnathon Welch, Lisa Daniel....and the list goes on and on and on and on.
So, Pic, why dont these people have the same marital rights as you and I, and the druggies, and the welfare dependant bludgers? Is that a fair society? Especially when kids are the future, and i reckon the names above would be capable of raising some pretty awesome children, unlike the dysfunctional marriages we see every day.
