Sharon is focussed on Arafat because Arafat has some legitimacy and hence much more dangerous than murderers and terrorists (in fact those scumbags are useful to Sharon) - that's why Arafat gets the treatment.

How ludicrous for Bush and Sharon to keep insisting that Arafat stop terrorism? How carefully they preserve him - so they can vilify him for political purposes.
