Where would they get the cash to pay a 'special dividend'?
From their half year report, they only had $1.7m in cash, not very much in my books. Plus, the cash flow statement shows, if they hadn't borrowed money to basically pay the dividend, well, there would not have been a dividend, and they would have had no cash!
I think they just need the cash to bolster the balance sheet, as it really wasn't as good as they said.
