Why do these idiots ever only get a slap on the wrist? It would be great if the law actually inconvenienced the people who feel it necessary to seriously endanger others lives.
Take the hoon cars (and their drivers) off the road for a minimum of six months on first offense and see how fast they can walk for a while. (Need you car for your job and will lose your job without it? Too bad! Should have thought about that beforehand. It is common sense. Need a care for other reasons? Too bad, should have thought about that for other "necessities" too... they will perhaps think about those considerations first next time.)
It seems law does not understand the young generations thinking. Having a car impounded for a short time is just a "glory point" to brag to friend with. Perhaps they can even get footage of the event to put on youtube.

PERTH police have impounded 11 cars under West Australia's "anti-hoon" legislation after drivers were caught speeding or driving dangerously overnight.
One driver was caught doing 180km/h in a 100km/h zone, while four arrests related to excessive noise from burnouts and fishtailing, police said.
Other drivers were arrested for travelling at more than 45km/h over the speed limit.
Under the anti-hoon laws, introduced by the former Labor government, 802 vehicles were seized for periods of 48 hours between January and July.
The confiscation period for a first offence has since been raised from 48 hours to seven days, and vehicles may be impounded for 28 days for second and subsequent offences.
