It will be interesting to see were Macquarie will ends up when the dust settles. Following the departure of Allan Moss and the changing of ways from the Hills Samuel business model which did not fare well in the GFC( Better than Babcock and Brown which bit the dust) Nicholas Moore re built the business with a de risked model focussed on an annuities style of business with major infrastructure and leasing holdings to mitigate what had happened in 2008. Now with Cov-19 it looks like the cash flow from these assets may well be impacted. It may well clip the wings of Macquarie in the short term.
