1.Westpac knew, but failed to inform ASX-or indeed anyone else-prior to $2.5Billion Capital Raisings!
2.CR Brokers, Advisers etc-UBS, CITI, JPMorgan-were (a) either not informed byWBC CEO Brian Hartzer & CFO Peter King and/or (b) Brokers failed to askQuestions. Either way, totally damning indictment.
3.No wonder Regulators ASIC & APRA are Belatedly also Investigating.
4.Westpac CEO Brian Hartzer & CFO Peter King have more than some seriousquestions to answer. So does Chair Lindsay Maxsted.
5.Full Westpac Board must also take Full Responsibility.
6.IMO, expect Class Actions to now follow.
Above should raise further numerous Investigations by Regulators-Watchdogs-ASX, APRA,ASIC, BFO, ABA, AFCA- Plus by Government.
