the following happened on the day before the 1987 crash

i was a young guy with POA over a portfolio of industrial shares. the owners were overseas and couldn't be contacted.
i felt uneasy and sensed that the mood of the market had changed. i had no idea the market would crash. no one did.

i thought about it and over the lunch hour i sold every single share. the argument i used was that if nothing much happened, i could always buy them back the following week.

i think this market is very dangerous for anyone who is not hedged.

i really think tonight's market action will give everyone a lot to think about over the weekend.

whatever you do, make a decision, then be decisive and act on it.
