Are we witnessing a concerted effort here to pressure the SMM holders into giving up their shares cheaply?

I'm a holder of neither company but have had a look through SMM's projects over the weekend given Premier Beattie's backflip.

SMM appears to have massive upside given that:

- PDN are bidding for the company;
- potential favourable outcome of Resolute court case;
- known resource @ 71m lbs and climbing;
- close to Mt Isa and established infrastructure;
- other resources in the SMM stable other than U;

If I were an SMM holder I'd be doing exactly what the Director's are telling shareholders right now. If I were a PDN holder I'd be hoping SMM gets snapped up before their shareholders wake up.
