the argument is made that private school kids struggle in the jump to Uni because they have been spoon fed, but I never saw evidence that was the case.
If my kid was bright enough and wanted to, I'd encourage them to do an International Baccalaureate and go to Uni overseas, what a great experience that would be. I don't know if public schools offer that option.
Back on topic, it does seem strange and statistically preposterous (unless the teachers had taught the wrong material) that every student should fail a subject. What about bell curves and all that?
