What rate on a horizontal well is required to be considered to be commercial?

The analyst say a flow rate of 7 - 10 million cubic feet a day should send you off to the races.

With the expected increased gas prices, heading towards $9 -14 a gigajoule, a lot of money is going to be made if these flow rate can be met.

Based on ICN current known vertical rate one would expect this to be easily achievable in 855 on a horizontal.

Now you can see why Chevron has jumped at the chance to invest in the best shale gas prospect in Australia.

So now we sit and wait on Beach, with an eagle eye to see what comes from their 1st horizontal, if in the order of the above then the starters gates will open and we all will be heading to the races.
