hormone replacement therapy

A woman going through menopause goes to the doctor to discuss her progress with the hormone replacement therapy she has been prescribed.

Doctor : How are you feeling now?
Woman : Doctor I’m feeling much better and I have noticed the hot flushes have gone.
Doctor : Very good. Are there any other changes that you have noticed?
Woman : Well I have also noticed excessive hair growth Doctor.
Doctor : Because of the very high doses of estrogens you are receiving we have to administer small doses of the hormone testosterone to create a balance. One of the side effects of testosterone is hair growth and this is nomal and to be expected. There is no need to be worried or alarmed by excessive hair growth.
