A: (1) the LibNats set up the increased need to universities to have 150,000 foreign students to attain adequate funding to get Aussies through their course work degrees. and (2) the LibNats virtually closed down TAFE, training skills for employment, and encouraged rip off "colleges" which left a severe skills shortage, necessitating business demand to import skilled workers. another 70,000 immigrants.

all down to the LibNats govts.

Albanese is trying to fix the mess left as legacy of 9 years of stupid, ill-considered idiotological changes to the national system.

but it's a massive mess to clean up.
