No.Most acceptable form of pet ownership in the world are dogs. Many dogs CHOOSE to be with owner. Unless the dog is confined to a cage all their life.
I'm not sure if you set the cage free, your bird will CHOOSE to stay in the cage. If they do, that's great. Thank you for treating the birds so well.
We are talking about hurting animals for human ENTERTAINMENT, we are not talking about the need for human consumption. That's a whole different topic.
Unlike your birds which freely choose to go back to the cage, there are no horses in the world freely choose to go on a racetrack without being physically forced to by a human being. None. Zero.
