I liked Ethereal after her Brisbane campaign, a Cups horse I thought. Back from a spell and lined up to run in the Yalumba Stks at C'field (now the Ladbrokes I think - next year the ATC Everest lol) 3rd up I went to the local NSW TAB to have her in both Cups before that race. I expected her to run very well in the Y, so get in before the race. BUT to my shock and disappointment the rules said - 'half the odds for the same winner'. So I said, stuff that and did not have it. I can't recall the numbers but think that she was 33-1 for the C Cup and similar for the MC. when she won both.
I backed here at 33-1 in the CC though but did not have the gumption to go all-up, unlike Richard Dreyfuss' character in the film "Let it Ride".
