Looks like NCM is using the WA gold royalty debate to" hose down the street" on the imminent Telfer closure https://www.linkedin.com/in/mikenahan/.

You heard it first from Mike Nahan, closure within 4 years. I wonder when this will be confirmed by Newcrest itself.

It leaves one to wonder if Newcrest's miscalculated and oversold its royalty case, sinking its great PR excuse to shut the mine sooner and blame its poor performance on the WA govt.
