In the early1970’s, I can remember doing an externally authorised (theoretically Dept. of Education) test whilst I was in high school.

The whole thing struck me as bizarre and very much probing for political leanings and one’s disposition to being coerced.

Only about 5 out of 32 in my class felt the same way. The others seemed unaware or not interested.

Those of us that discussed the test felt it was extremely invasive if not even a form of physical and mental violation............ the teacher gave no reason as to why we had to do the test.

I think the profiling and coercion has been going on since the early 70’s if not, perhaps even before the 70’s.
