Professor Neil Mann is a Nutritional Biochemist, Health Researcher and Head for Food Science at RMIT University in Melbourne.
Professor Mann has published over 70 refereed papers in scientific journals and conducted research with the likes of Boyd Eaton, Staffan Lindeberg and Loren Cordain – author of “The Paleo Diet.” Neil has been a Visiting Research Fellow at Oxford University’s School of Anthropology, investigating with anthropologists the dietary intakes of our ancestors and modern day hunter – gatherers, and the correlations with their health. These findings have been published in his most recent book,
Evolving Human Nutrition: Implications for Public Healthwhich details the effect that post agricultural foods have had on modern diseases and conditions such as obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
