I'm employed under a federal award, as a casual, and as of Jan 1 we have forgone our saturday, sunday and public holiday penalty rates, and gained an extra $0.007 an hour. Yes 7/10ths of 1c more an hour. How does that fairly compensate the double time entitlements that Labor has taken away?

No recourse, other than "you can look for a new job if you don't like it".
This will make it a lot harder for liquor and hospitality employers now, especially in light of the next boom in mining here in the west.
Oh, and the company I work for put prices of their products up on 1 January because costs of production and distribution have gone up. So has the groceries and consumables that my family depends on.
It's not a labour (small l and ou intended) party any more, its a socialist experiment gone wrong.
