What are the rates according to your data? You left out IBS, which is common and considered to be on the same spectrum as IBD, at the lowest end. Population affected by IBS is estimated to be 11% in the US and 10% in Australia. Also, it's reasonable to assume it's under-reported because people tend to keep quiet about 'bathroom issues.' You can check for yourself the booming market in quality probiotics, even expensive ones like VSL#3. What might be the cause of these high rates? Doctors have no idea but you're certain that the 'vast majority' of people get no benefit from gluten free food or A2 milk.
Please tell me how you can be so sure of this?
