I hope you realise that all of these shareholdings will be held on behalf of clients via custody accounts, ie. it's unlikely that J.P Morgan has invested its own funds in GXY rather it would have invested its clients money via a MF or ETF. To my knowledge, proprietary trading desks are no longer a thing in banks and investment banks. The point I make is just because it's a unified holding on paper does not necessarily indicate a unified group of holders who have the same intentions or plans with GXY, although in theory it could be possible; it's not guaranteed. These shareholdings could possibly be one client or 50+ clients, we cannot tell from this side of the fence unless they declare a significant holding and the custody accounts are revealed via substantial holder forms.
