There was obvious buying the day before, but this was not confirmed, with last night seeing prices plunging lower again.

I feel there was going to be a positive response initially, but then the news about the unfortunate "deliveries" to several Democrat Luminaries was released, and this was just the right type of news that can be used to upset market confidence (sentiment was already vulnerable). The media go into overdrive, with questionable stories about terrorism, then end of the world as we know it etc.
So the opportunity to use the 'news' to make some short (and potentially long) term gains, and really shake the markets violently was too good to be true. Effectively get short and then help to ram down the markets.

If the negative sentiment surrounding those deliveries 'blows over' pretty quick (one day wonder perhaps ??), I won't be surprised to see the "offer" now bought up aggressively as part of the previous accumulation phase.

However, if the sentiment remains negative or there is ongoing trouble for an extended period, all bets are off for a while.....

I made some notes on this CL Monthly, just my thoughts, interested to see where it goes from here, Bears have the perfect opportunity to take prices lower in response to that potential Upthrust of higher range, do they have the support here to see some follow through, the sharp move lower if not supported could see exhaustion of Supply into a potential Spring or if supported with further Strength to the downside follow through with a SOW below $54 putting Bears in control.
