It doesn’t quite work like that!
Iirc it takes about 8 tonnes of SC6 to produce 1 tonne of Carbonate.
So, $7k CIF would be about $60k for the spod required to produce a tonne of carbonate.
Then the cost of conversion on top of that.
That puts the cost of carbonate after conversion roughly at the level of spot chemical prices.
Ballpark anyway.
(Be careful comparing apples and oranges ie %s of different things!)
