The AGM presentation noted EOS was 'selected as preferred provider for a significant space infrastructure program, with contract award
expected in Q2 2021'.
Does anybody know what this is in respect to and size of the opportunity? Assume a contract is due anytime now we passed Q2.
I came across the following article today (dated 4 May 2021) https://www.spaceconnectonline.com.au/manufacturing/4869-australian-space-agency-esa-to-build-deep-space-antenna (spaceconnectonline)
Curious if it is related given this project will be in WA (EOS already owns and operates a facility there) and involves 'next-generation deep space communication technology'. Article says ESA has reportedly budgeted €45 million ($70 million) for the project, covering antenna procurement, construction and upgrades to station buildings and services. The ESA is set to select a prime contractor from Europe, while a “significant portion” of the budget expected to be spent in Australia through local firms.
