I can answer this with perfect simplicity: the long term averages are based on contracts with super-high exit fees due to high upfront comms. Which are becoming increasingly out-dated but still skewing the averages on term policies.
The pricing structures still haven't changed to reflect the averages.
But again I ask, on retail policies who is offering the highest upfront comms?
