AMP's problem is the wealth protection business mostly inherited from AXA. This business had very poor risk management. If the business was normal AMP would have been north of 6 and north of seven without the AXA acquisition.
The reason for the small rally in AMP is that some analysts perceive that maybe AMP has at last got some hold of the problems and can stall the losses.
