re: ### hot tip - #### insider Going back to the original point on this thread-Descrepency has been rumoured to have been in discussions with his 'friends' at Newmont to buy back Scuddles.
The counter rumour was that Newmont weren't about to sacrifice one of their more profitable operations even though it is base metals rather than gold-they still get the 'gold multiplier' on the bottom line, ie over 40 times earnings as a PE!
Come to think of it, a lot of Newmont's profit is derived from non-gold income-bet the American shareholders wouldn't be too pleased to hear that about their precious over valued thumper!
