I actually think many underestimate what Hotcopper brings. It is very much reflective of a 'real world' community. I know it is a share site...or an advertising site...depending on where your values lay.

It is however, and has been for a long period of time much more than that to so many.

Sometimes a little break is not a bad thing though.

However if you look at the offer beyond the share trading commentary, which is incredible within itself but also look at the availability of discussion in many areas that make up our lives. From politics,Religion or science and medicine.

HC has a true sense of community where we can argue, debate, sulk and sledge and even discuss stocks and opportunities rationally on occasion.. Like all communities there is a degree of policing required and that is where the moderators simply do a great job...even though we all have issues with moderation from time to time :)

Community is sharing common interests I guess yet the diversity of opinion is what makes the HC community thrive.

Not bad when a simple stock site can have such a renown reputation that only those on the inside actually understand
