Stockbrokers in the old sense are becoming dinosaurs;
Places such as hc are the future for gathering info and as a research tool on stocks - I don't think most stockbrokers gave particularly good advice to small players anyhow from what I gather.
Nowadays a stockbroker just needs to be computer savvy.
ps to T4P. I'm amazed how many posts I see (and I assume that perhaps you don't get to see all of them) where they are asking for your opinion on various stocks. I think it's time that they did it (the research) for themselves first and only then perhaps asked for a 2nd opinion from you. Don't make it too damned easy for them.
