I just read an interesting article from 2002... no doubt the old tomers on here will be well aware of all this but for relative newcomers such as myself it was interesting news.

HotCopper listed on the ASX in 1999, only to be accquired 1 month later by another listed company at the time, Bourse Data. Bourse Data later merged with a St George bank pinoff called Wealthpoint, which was later bought back by St George bank. So at one point HotCopper was owned by St George bank!

Fortunately after buying back Wealthpoint it sold the HotCopper division back to private operators, where it belongs in my opinion.
