Everything dot com went mad....hotcopper had a pretty crummy website back then aswell.

The reason the takeover happened in my opinion was for cash for bourse data.

When hotcopper was listing at 20c I couldnt beleive they had raised the money they had, I think bourse took it over within months with a scrip bid.

They just gave bourse shares to hotcopper shareholders and then picked themselves up 5 mill or so in cash...it was like a placement of sorts where bourse ended up with hotcopper which wasnt making any money.
