Riding to instructions/established pattern. I know owners get frustrated if a jockey fails to follow instructions but when you have been there done that so many times and it doesn't work there has to be a little room for initiative. Jumped really well and didn't think there was any reason not to let him at least share the lead to the turn or perhaps make the eventual leading pair work ma bit harder to get there - might have been the latter but could have spread them out a bit to allow room to get off the fence much easier. Guess it is easy from the grandstand!
