An interesting argument
When is too much meaningless commentary too much?
For an example one could, in my opinion, look at the posts on ATN as a live example of verbosity gone mad, there is commentary on commentary on commentary.
One for the moderators?
When logging onto HC we have some quality and quantity markers on the home page, that can guide us in answering the question "what is everyone talking about".
The list of companies with the most comments in order of ranking and the quality of posts by thumbs up.
Unfortunately the quantity of posts doesn't have a direct relation to the quantity, as we wade further into this bull market, we could see this type of random posting as a symptom of people re-entering the market or entering it for the first time. The exuberance of the free ride and share growth from a "tip" is a heady cocktail.
Maybe we should see it as an indicator of a desperate rush for the pot of gold and the fear of missing out rather then a problem?
I agree that the moderators will have to double their efforts and maybe take some members aside for some coaching or time out until they realise being part of this forum is a privilege rather than a right
