It seems the sales team at Oaks are better at keeping us informed than the directors. here is the status update from the Sales email to all myOak subscribers.

"Brisbane Flood Impacts

Our thoughts are with those who have been affected by the Queensland Flood situation.

As a valued MyOaks member, we wanted to take this opportunity to inform you of the status of the Queensland Flood on our properties. While visitors are urged to avoid the flood affected areas of Queensland and other states, Australia remains open for business and continues to welcome travellers.

Five of our eight hotels in Brisbane CBD and our Ipswich hotel are almost fully operational. Oaks 212 Margaret, Oaks iStay River City & Oaks Felix currently have water in the basements and lifts currently not operational. Power has not been restored at Oaks 212 Margaret or Oaks iStay River City at this time. Oaks Festival Towers has limited lifts operational at this time. We expect these hotels to be fully operational in the next 1-2 days.

Oaks Charlotte Towers, Oaks Casino Towers, Oaks Aurora & Oaks Lexicon are all fully operational and welcoming guests.

Throughout the rest of Queensland, our regional properties are fully operational, accessible and experiencing sunny weather and looking forward to welcoming you to holiday in these outstanding destinations.

We thank our dedicated team & emergency services during this difficult time and look forward to welcoming guests back to Oaks Hotels & Resorts. Our thoughts are with those who have not been as fortunate during the Queensland Flood Crisis."
