This is a post in my capacity as a Mod and currently as a reader of HotCopper Politics.
The model we have here is akin to Wiki ... user generated content ... editors (mods) limited to encouraging suitable content and appropriate behaviours and removing content that doesn't meet some fairly loose rules ... and small Admin to ensure the enabling framework, architecture and quality functions.
With Wiki, which is global, there are something like 12,000 approved contributors and just 200 paid staff looking after the enabling framework, architecture and editing standards to ensure quality consistent with expectations for that of an encyclopaedia.
What is driving the content we get on HotCopper Politics?
