Case in point the pump and dump. How did they do it? First they gapped it up to create a frenzy. Once we got the speeding ticket, that would have created some interest with everyone expecting the imminent news to be imminently imminent. Then we got the dump on the Forbes article, which was conveniently published a few weeks ahead of schedule. If it had have been published when it was supposed to which was after the contract signing announcement (we still haven't reached that point yet I believe) would it have had the same impact on the SP?

Surely everything that has happened recently has been a coincidence and that the smart money are just really good at trading after the news.
